Angie Bonavita is the Director of Marketing for the Wave Runner Resort until condo builders descend on Pelican Bay to turn it into a mini South Beach. Forced to minimize expenditures for their pending sale, the resort owners fire Angie without warning. The Bonavita’s are now faced with a decision about their future when their luck suddenly changes again and they win the Florida Lottery. Believing they are set for life, they buy the beach house they’ve always wished for and treat their family and friends to vacations that take them from the Bahamas to Italy. Within a few months their new plan takes a detour when Angie finds herself over forty and pregnant. Surviving an early birth by emergency c-section, Dylan fills their family with love and laughter. However, the story twists when Angie’s “exhaustion” is diagnosed as terminal pancreatic cancer and her loving husband is left picking up the pieces.
